Pasting procedure of wall ceramic tile specification

Grassroots cleaning treatment → wipe the bottom ash → select the bricks → soak → arrange the bricks → spring the line → paste the standard points → paste the tiles → grout → wipe the seams → clean up.

Common problems and solutions

① Discoloration

The cause of the discoloration is poor ceramic tile quality, too thin glaze or improper construction method.

Materials should be selected strictly during construction, and clean water should be used to soak the sleeve tiles. The cement mortar should use pure sand and cement. The remaining mortar on the brick surface should be cleaned up at any time during operation. Wall tiles with large discoloration should be updated.

②The hollow drum falls off

The reason is that the basic treatment is not clean during installation, the bricks are not soaked or the bonding material is not sufficient.

During construction, the glazed tiles must be clean, soaked for no less than 2 hours, and the bonding thickness should be controlled between 7-10 mm, and not too thick or too thin.

To make the tile and the bottom layer stick densely when pasting, you can tap it lightly with a wooden hammer. When hollowing occurs, the wall tiles should be removed, the original bonding mortar should be shoveled, and the cement mortar added with 3% of the total volume of qualified glue should be used to repair it.

③The seams are not straight

It is because the specifications of the bricks are different or the joints exceed the allowable error.

During construction, face bricks should be carefully selected, and those of the same size should be grouped together for one wall. The standard points must be pasted, and the standard points should be subject to the ruler. After each line is pasted, the ruler should be used to check horizontally and vertically, and correct in time. If the joint exceeds the allowable error, the wall tiles should be removed in time and reworked.

Construction specification for wall tile paste

(1) During the primary treatment, all kinds of dirt on the wall should be cleaned up and watered and moistened one day in advance. For example, when the base layer is a new wall, when the cement mortar is 70% dry, the bricks should be arranged, threaded and pasted.

(2) The standard points must be pasted before the formal pasting to control the flatness of the pasted surface. The flatness should be checked with a ruler at any time during operation. If it is uneven or not straight, remove and re-stick.

(3) Before the tile is pasted, it must be soaked in clean water for more than two hours. Take out the tile and dry it for use as long as the tile does not bubbling. When pasting, it should be pasted from bottom to top, and the mortar must be full. When the ash is lost, it must be removed and re-adhesive. It is not allowed to fill the joints and mouths of the bricks with ash.

(4) When paving and sticking, when encountering pipelines, lamp switches, bathroom equipment supporting parts, etc., they must be cut and matched with whole bricks, and it is forbidden to use non-whole bricks to paste together. Pasting of the entire room or independent parts should be done at one time. If it cannot be done at one time, the stubble opening should be left in the construction joint or the internal corner.

Wall tile pasting is a highly technical construction project, which consumes more man-hours. When the auxiliary materials are ready and the grassroots treatment is good, each worker can complete about 5 square meters a day. Generally, household decoration is glued to bathroom and kitchen walls. It takes about 7 days to prepare the noodles.
